Infectious Disease Policy

Before the Conference We strongly suggest that you test for COVID-19 before leaving for the conference.

When you Arrive We will provide rapid tests for COVID-19 and observe testing of all arriving attendees; a negative test will be required to participate in the conference.

We ask that you not attend if you have:

  • tested positive for flu or COVID-19 within 7 days of the conference start, or
  • have COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms, (including fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pains, headache, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, or fatigue) within 2 days of the conference.

If you must cancel for these reasons, please email registration@conference.org to make arrangements.

At the Conference

  • Masks will not be required, but are encouraged in enclosed indoor spaces.
  • Masks will be provided for attendees upon request.
  • Outdoor seating will be available for all meals.
  • If you choose to wear a mask, you will not be asked to remove it to speak in a session.

The conference Code of Conduct requires that all attendees will treat each other with respect in all regards, including the personal choice to wear, or not wear, a mask.

Your Agreement When you register for the conference, you will be asked to agree to these guidelines:

  • By registering for this conference, I agree that I will carefully review and, during the event and all event-related activities, comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance on infectious diseases and any other protocols that may be implemented by The Hackers Conference or the conference venue.

  • I acknowledge that The Hackers Conference cannot guarantee that attendees will not be exposed to or contract an infectious disease while attending the conference. By attending, they may be exposing or increasing their risk of contracting or spreading an infectious disease.

  • I understand that The Hackers Conference will continue to closely monitor conditions related to infectious diseases between now and the start of the conference. The Hackers Conference reserves the right to modify its Infectious disease related procedures and health screening protocols should conditions change. Registrants will be informed of any such changes on an ongoing basis. As a condition of attendance and participation, I agree to follow the protocols as required. Refusal to abide by the infectious disease related procedures will result in ejection from the conference and cancellation of their registration, without refund.
